Vevo, the online music-video website, now has an Arab media conglomerate investor.

Abu Dhabi Media Company, with the people from the United Arab Emirates, has invested an undisclosed amount into Vevo, the companies announced today Monday Oct. 28 2009

The largest recording label, Universal Music Group, founded Vevo earlier this year. Sony Music Entertainment, which is second in size behind Universal, an has since joined the Vevo venture. YouTube has been providing technology support for this video service, which is reported to launch later this year.

According to press releases, Abu Dhabi Media Company was created by the oil-rich government of Abu Dhabi in 2007 to work with and develop and expand media in the country.

Vevo has attracted a lot of media attention, mostly do to the fact that music videos are the most watched genre on YouTube. Universal’s channel on YouTube site is the leader with over 5 billion views. The next in line would be Expertvillage, which has 823 million views.

Garth Brooks Out Of Retirement is big news today.

Garth Brooks, known to many as one of the biggest country stars of all time, said Thursday he intends on come out of retirement after nine years away. A concert engagement in Las Vegas with be the the location of his comeback.

Garth Brooks made this announcement at a press conference at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville. A second announcement followed later in the day at a second press conference at the Wynn Las Vegas hotel.

Garth Brooks Out Of Retirement will start work at the Wynn Las Vegas 15 weekends out of the year. Appropriately every three months, Brooks said, he’ll make a decision about continuing and exactly which weekends.

Tickets will cost $125 a seat, say’s Wynn. The first show is scheduled to be December 11. Tickets will go on sale October 24.

While for most of us four kids sounds like a handful to many, but for Taylor Hanson, the arrival of his newest child, son Viggo Moriah, really didnt send his stress level over the top. After two kids, youre outnumbered, he tells Celebrity Baby Blog with a laugh. So once you cross having three, having four is not such a big deal. Viggos digging the big family, too. Hes so interested in what everyone is doing around him, says Taylor. He loves to be in the middle of the action and doesnt want to miss a thing.

Their is not a shortage of action for Taylor, 26, wife Natalie, 25, and their brood (left to right: Penelope Anne, 4, Viggo, 7 months, River Samuel, 2 , and Jordan Ezra, 6 ). I think its pretty much the more the merrier for them at this point, jokes Taylor the proud dad, whose bandmate brothers Isaac and Zac have their own families as well.
